Ms. Ramos joined BASIS Charter Schools as the Special Education Coordinator at BASIS Scottsdale and after two very successful and productive years, was promoted to Upper School Director. She took the same role at BASIS Mesa before transitioning to Head of School and successfully expanding the school to kindergarten through grade 12. Ms. Ramos is looking forward to working with the community of families at BASIS Phoenix South Primary as the Head of School. She graduated from Arizona State University with a BA in Special Education and MA in Curriculum and Instruction, while also completing coursework for her second MA in Education Administration.
Mrs. Duncan joined BASIS Charter Schools in 2015 with many years of experience in school administration as well as teaching. She holds a MEd from the University of Regensburg, Germany, in German literature and geography. Her experience prior to working at BASIS Phoenix South Primary was in language immersion schools in Germany as well as Arizona.
Mr. Harris joined BASIS Charter Schools as the Special Education Assistant at BASIS Phoenix South Primary in January of 2018. After five months in this position, he was promoted to the Special Education Coordinator position, then Dean of Students, and now the Director of Student Affairs of Behavior. Mr. Harris is ecstatic to bring his experience and love for the community, school culture, and the students to this position.
Mr. Harris is from Leesville, South Carolina and a graduate of Benedict College, in Columbia, South Carolina, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Child and Family Development, with a certification in Special Education Early Childhood. He relocated to Phoenix in January of 2018 from Atlanta, Georgia. He has been in the education field for nine years. His experience ranges from teaching grades Pre-K to high school in the area of special education. Mr. Harris is passionate about serving the BASIS Phoenix South students, families, and community.
Ms. Namo joined the BASIS Charter Schools in 2016 as a Learning Expert Teacher. She then served as a Subject Expert Teacher for both math and science before transitioning to her current role as Director of Student Affairs–Academics at BASIS Phoenix South Primary. She earned her BA in Elementary Education from Northeastern Illinois University and taught English Language Learners in the primary grades throughout Chicago, where she spent most of her life. As the Director of Student Affairs–Academics, Ms. Namo is eager to grow BASIS Phoenix South Primary’s positive culture centered on student success.
