Kelsey Hartpence joined the BASIS Curriculum Schools network as Dean of Students and then Director of Academic Programs at BASIS Ahwatukee before transitioning to Head of School at BASIS Chandler Primary North. As Head of School, Kelsey is passionate about partnering with students, parents, and teachers to ensure that every child has access to an exceptional education.
Previously, Kelsey served as a Teach for America corps member teaching social studies and English, and later worked with Teach for America as an instructional coach. Kelsey received a BA in Political Science and International Studies from Kansas State University, and a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Paul comes to BASIS Chandler Primary North after several years of involvement with BASIS Curriculum Schools, as a parent of three BASIS Curriculum students and spouse to a long-time BASIS Curriculum employee. After serving five years in the Navy, Paul completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at Northern Arizona University, then obtained his MBA at Arizona State University.
Kirstin Porter has a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and holds two elementary teaching credentials, the first with an emphasis in early childhood education, and the second in English Language Arts. Prior to working at BASIS Chandler Primary North, Mrs. Porter taught in both the general and special education settings in grades K through five for five years. She has also served as a Grade Level Chair, Mentor Teacher, and School Leadership team member. Ultimately, she obtained her Aspiring School Administrator and Instructional Leader Credential in 2017. As such, Mrs. Porter is grateful for the opportunity follow her passion of supporting the triad of student, parent, and teacher in order to foster success for all BASIS Chandler Primary North students.
Ms. Lindsey Orlowski graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a focus in Science and Math from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Ms. Orlowski has been with Chandler Primary North since the inaugural year. She began as a fourth grade science teacher and transitioned to Curriculum Coordinator before moving into the role of Director of Academic Programs. Lindsey is involved in data analysis, progress monitoring, and test administration to ensure the success of every student.
