Stephanie Terrell, our Head of School at BASIS Chandler Primary North, joined BASIS Charter Schools in 2011. She helped BASIS Chandler earn national recognition as one of the best public high schools in the nation. Mrs. Terrell went on to become the Head of School at BASIS Phoenix before transitioning to her current role as Head of School at BASIS Chandler Primary North.
An Arizona native, Mrs. Terrell earned her BS in Biology from Arizona State University and, prior to joining BASIS Charter Schools, spent over ten years teaching computer applications, all primary school subjects, and middle/high school math. She believes that leadership starts with being a servant—then you add hard work and finish with perseverance. “Our teachers are passionate and take great pride in seeing students succeed both in and out of the classroom,” says Mrs. Terrell.
As BASIS Chandler Primary North Head of School, Mrs. Terrell partners with students, parents, and other BASIS Charter School educators to help children prepare for middle school and beyond. Ms. LePage is originally from California and earned her bachelor’s degree in Humanities, with emphasis in classic civilizations, from San Jose State University. She also holds an MA in Organizational Management from University of Phoenix and is currently pursuing an Ed.D in Educational Leadership at Grand Canyon University. She has 20 years of experience in education, ranging from pre-K through post-secondary classroom instruction, curriculum design, student advisement and peer mentorship. She has taught for Chandler-Gilbert Community College for 15 years serving as adjunct faculty in technology, fine arts and business divisions.
Starting her career at BASIS.ed in 2018, as the BASIS Charter Schools Website and Marketing Strategist in the Marketing and Design department, she joined BASIS Chandler in 2020 as Head of Operations. She now brings her love of education and technology to BASIS Chandler Primary North.
Tammy Bostaph, our Director of Student Affairs at BASIS Chandler Primary North, is excited to be a part of the primary school setting. She is a passionate and innovative educator with over fifteen years of classroom experience and management. Tammy earned a bachelor’s degree in Education and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University. She also carries several endorsements and certifications, such as Gifted Education, ESL, ASU Mentorship, and Facilitative Leadership. Tammy spent most of her career teaching grades 1 and 3, learning over time that she found fulfillment not only in the classroom, but also in everything that surrounds the success of teachers and students. As a previous grade 5 teacher and Director of Lower School Programs at BASIS Chandler, she comes to us with much enthusiasm, creativity, and experience.
As the Director of Student Affairs at BASIS Chandler Primary North, Tammy is a mentor and an advocate for the continued success of our school. She is grateful to be a part of such a collaborative community and is available to and supportive of all our teachers, students, and families. Her biggest aspiration is to continue to foster a warm and welcoming school culture. Tammy looks forward to coming to work each day and considers her job to be a blessing and an honor.
Lindsey Orlowski joined BASIS Charter Schools in 2016 as a Learning Expert Teacher at BASIS Chandler Primary North during its inaugural year. She later transitioned to teach grade 4 science before moving out of the classroom to support the teachers as a Curriculum Coordinator and later as Director of Academic Programs. Ms. Orlowski spent the 2020–21 school year at BASIS Phoenix South Primary. She is excited to come full circle back to BASIS Chandler Primary North. As the Director of Academic Programs, she is involved in data analysis, progress monitoring, and test administration to ensure that every student is successful.
Ms. Orlowski received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a focus in Science and Math from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
