Your commitment to excellence in your child's education

Your gift to the BASIS Annual Teacher Fund is an investment in our faculty, which directly impacts the quality of education in our classrooms. These funds allow us to recruit and retain the highest quality teachers through performance-based bonuses, and reward them for their effectiveness in the classroom.

Although charter schools receive less public funding than district schools, we are committed to maintaining our high standards of excellence. We request an annual contribution of at least $1,500 per student, or a monthly pledge of $150. This represents a fraction of the annual cost of a top private school education. We know that every family is different, so please give as generously as you can. Every gift, no matter the size, has an impact.

You could double or even triple the amount of your donation if your employer provides matching gifts. Many employers match dollar-for-dollar the charitable gifts their employees make – so your $100 contribution can easily turn into a $200 or even $300 gift with a match from your company.

All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. BASIS Schools Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization. Tax ID # 86-0908854

Frequently Asked Questions:

Does my company offer a matching gift?

When can I donate?

Every fiscal year – which runs from July 1 to June 30 – we ask the BASIS Curriculum School community to contribute to the Annual Teacher Fund.

How much should I give?

Given the vital role that BASIS teachers play in attaining our top-ranked results and in giving BASIS students the tools they need to succeed with us, in higher education, and in the workforce, we ask that you give as generously as you can. Every gift makes a difference.

How is the money spent?

One hundred percent of these funds – every last penny – is given directly to BASIS teachers through merit-based salary supplements for the learning gains their students make. We know how deserving our skilled teachers are, and we trust that you do, too!

What is the difference between ATF and ECA Tax Credit?

(ATF) Annual Teacher Fund
Charitable contributions to the Annual Teacher Fund are tax deductible. Donations made on or before December 31st of a given year may be claimed against that year’s federal income taxes.

ECA Tax Credit
With an Extracurricular Activity tax credit, you are designating where your tax dollars are to be spent. You are obligated to pay the money either way, and there is no additional out of pocket expense; you are simply informing the state about your preference to spend your tax dollars on BASIS Charter Schools auxiliary programs instead of another worthy project.

What corporate sponsorships are available?

We welcome organizations that wish to sponsor one or all of our schools, and will work directly with you to determine a mutually beneficial program for your company.
