BASIS Ahwatukee!

Making its way through its fifth year of operation, BASIS Ahwatukee is looking forward to graduating its largest class of about 28 students, most of whom are participating in the impressive Senior Project program.

In 2016–17, BASIS Ahwatukee graduated its second class of seniors and between the 11 graduates, they were awarded nearly $1.1 million in merit- based scholarships.
Head of School, Becky Ratliff, expresses that, “it is a privilege to work at the Ahwatukee campus, which is unique in location and rich in culture.”

School Highlights

  • Our 11 2017 seniors earned 51 acceptances to 27 unique colleges and universities.
  • Our High School Vex Robotics team qualified for the state competition and won the VEX Energy Award in the regionals.
  • Our History Bee students are going to the national competition.
  • A student received first place in the “Best of Phoenix Chess Championship.”
  • A grade 8 student was the principal clarinetist at the Arizona All State Band Festival and a grade 11 student was selected for All-State Orchestra.
  • A grade 5 student qualified to compete in the state level competition of the National Geographic Bee.
  • A student scored in the top five percent in the nation on the 2016 AMC 8.
